Redskins receiver Josh Morgan continues to recover from surgery on his right ankle, as well as procedures on both hands. Morgan had a plate and seven screws removed from his surgically repaired right ankle in January. On Wednesday, as he took part in a charity event at Margaret Brent Regional School in New Carrollton, Morgan revealed that the same week as his ankle surgery, he also had torn ligaments in each hand repaired. “Basically, the whole year, I was playing with two torn ligaments in both hands,” he said. “So they corrected that and got all that stuff straight.” Morgan suffered an injury to one hand in the season opener, then tore ligaments in the other hand later in the season against Philadelphia. He broke his ankle in 2011 while he was with San Francisco and was never completely healed last season, despite playing in all 16 games. Source: Washington Post

Salary cap goes up a bit for the 2013 season

In what was thought o be around $121 million, the NFL salary cap has been set at $123 million for the 2013 season, much to the relief of some cap-strapped teams, reports Ian Rapaport of the NFL.com. The jump gives just a bit more wiggle room for some teams, but it's the little things that count in the long run.  There will also be a per team minimum salary benefit of $900...

Washington Redskins: Team Needs in the 2013 NFL Draft

As we continue the Team Needs series for the 2013 NFL Draft, we proceed to the only team without a first round pick; the Washington Redskins. I wanted to do this series in draft order, but it would just be rude to ignore the Redskins, so I’ll include them here at their original pick location that is now owed to St. Louis for the rights to Robert Griffin III last draft. While it...

Tip of the day: If you make a bet involving the fate of your unborn child, be 100% sure you can win it. That advice is too little too late for Marissa Pena, a pregnant Cowboys fan.
