Lions tailback Reggie Bush played through a dislocated thumb, pulled groin and now add hyperextended knee Sunday against the Vikings, according to ProFootballTalk.comFantasy Spin:Bush suffered the injuries in the first half and none kept him from having a great day. It's just troublesome that he's already nicked up with 15 games to go. Handcuffing Joique Bell to the injury-prone Bush is an absolute must.

Week Two preview: Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals

Setting the Stage When I say “marquee matchup,” the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals are not the first two teams that come to mind. Over the past ten years, the two teams sport a combined record of 113-207, good for a .353 winning percentage. (photo credit: Mark Rebilas/USA Today Sports) Sure, more of that lies on Detroit’s shoulders due to 2008’s 0-16 season, especially...

Detroit Lions have the most expensive Beer in the NFL per ounce

Today a stat came out and boy does it hurt.  Especially when you look at the picture.  Today we learned that not only was it very hard to watch the Detroit Lions over the past 10 years, it cost even more to forget about how bad they played.  Yes, the beer price per ounce at […]

Lions' Week 2 Injury Report: Reggie Bush, Nick Fairley

Reggie Bush had an incredible debut in Detroit. He provided the spark to the offense that had been lacking since Jahvid Best was concussed out of the league. He put his hands on the football 25 times; rushing 21 times for 90 yards and catching four passes for 101 yards. In doing so, the back sustained a number of significant injuries.According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk...

Key matchup: Finding Forte

Last week, Reggie Bush was the Burning Bush. This week, the Vikings face a similar, but more consistent challenge in Matt Forte. The linebackers have to answer or they’ll be doing plenty of answering questions this coming week.

Lions at Cardinals: Five things to watch

A breakout debut for Reggie Bush, another failure to "complete the process" by Calvin Johnson, a 100,000 fine and more controversy for Ndamukong Suh. At least the Detroit Lions aren't boring. The Lions head out to Arizona this week with a chance for payback against the Cardinals after last year's embarrassment. Here are five storylines to follow for Sunday'...

NFL Rumors: Detroit Lions RB Mikel Leshoure wants to be traded?

The Detroit Lions hoped to fill the void in their backfield this past offseason with the addition of free agent Reggie Bush. Bush put up 191 total yards. Bush, coupled with the recent addition of Joique Bell, seems to have filled the need for running backs in Detroit. There is another back on the Lions roster though, Mikel Leshoure. It seems as if Leshoure is unhappy and wouldn...

In The Backfield: Top 5 Fantasy Running Backs For Week 2

Week one is in the books with some surprises both for better and for worse.  Some fantasy running back marriages were crushed due to injury or just piss-poor play.  But I’m here to tell you that it’s going to be okay, and if your first round running back didn’t live up to the hype (Spiller), take a breath, and give it some time.  You two will work it out and be on good terms...

Fantasy Football: Week 2 start 'em sit 'em RBs

Start Matt Forte vs. MIN. The Vikings did a horrible job defending Reggie Bush last week and Matt Forte is a carbon-copy. Don't expect 30 fantasy points from Forte, but with 91 all-purpose yards and a TD in week 1, he's one of the few RBs who excelled. Forte has stacked up over 70 yards in four of his last five games against the Vikings.Start DeAngelo Williams vs. BUF. The...

Vikings defense tries to regroup against Bears

The Minnesota Vikings defense has two pieces of good news this week coming off a humbling loss at Detroit in the season opener. First, they expect defensive captain Kevin Williams to be back at defensive tackle after missing the 34-24 loss to the Lions with a knee injury. Second, they don't have to face Reggie Bush, the Lions running back who torched them for 191 total yards...

Lions-Cardinals Preview

The Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals' offenses have seemingly discovered new dimensions with their respective offseason additions. How Reggie Bush and Carson Palmer follow their strong Week 1 performances will likely play a crucial role in deciding the victor in Sunday's meeting at Arizona. Bush, who signed a four-year deal with Detroit (1-0) in the offseason, had a...

When it comes to rampant NCAA scandals, are we all to blame in part?

This has been a crazy week as far as off-field scandals are concerned. Sports Illustrated has been releasing a five-part investigative look at Oklahoma State football, accusing the program of many violations relating to academic fraud, recruiting violations of a sexual nature, overlooking drug use and having a number of players accepting money and extra benefits through hundred dollar...
