In the days leading up to last Sunday’s tilt between the Jets and Dolphins, Rex Ryan raised a few eyebrows — even more than usual — when he stated the team needed to put some “hot sauce” on Miami running back Reggie Bush.
Nothing really was made of it, though Ryan seemingly accomplished his goal, as his defense turned up the Tabasco and knocked Bush out of action during the Jets’ 23-20 win. Bush suffered a knee injury in the second quarter and never returned, eliciting a controversial postgame comment from Jets linebacker Calvin Pace, who said, “We had to put him on out.”
