Fox Sports Florida:
MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. Reggie Bushs future is a much-debated topic in South Florida. But theres no controversy from Bushs end.
Bush wants to return next season to the Miami Dolphins after he becomes a free agent.
I would love to be back here, the running back said in an interview with FOX Sports Florida after carrying 14 times for 87 yards in Miamis 24-21 win over Seattle on Sunday at Sun Life Stadium. I dont want to keep bouncing around from city to city. I would love to be here.
Bush, making 4.5 million this season, expects soon to talk with his agent, Joel Segal, about how contract talks will be conducted with Miami. Bush believes the Dolphins have a legitimate shot to win the Super Bowl this decade, and he wants to be part of it.
I love Miami, Bush said. I love the city. I love the football team. I really enjoying playing here in this city, and I really enjoy building something special. I want to bring a Super Bowl to Miami and kind of restore some of that greatness about the Miami Dolphins. So I look forward to it.
Its like a project almost. You kind of want to build something from scratch. Thats the same thing we did in New Orleans, we built that team from scratch. I look forward to doing the same thing (with the Dolphins).
Bush joined the Saints in 2006 after they had gone 3-13 the previous season. They eventually won the Super Bowl after the 2009 season.
Bush was traded to Miami prior to last season. The Dolphins went 6-10 in 2011 and are now 5-6.
Bush was able to break out of a slump Sunday, rushing for his second-best total of the season after having gained just 82 yards in the previous three games. Bush was asked if he believes a strong finish to this season is important in determining whether the Dolphins, who have young running backs Daniel Thomas and Lamar Miller, will want to re-sign him.
Honestly, I dont know, said Bush, who last season ran for a career-best 1,086 yards and this season has 662 yards with five games remaining. Business is business. You never know in this league. Its a cutthroat league. I would love to be back, but its not my decision. Its kind of up to the general manager (Jeff Ireland) and the coaches, if they like what they see.
With this years Heisman Trophy winner soon to be announced, Bush also was asked Sunday whether he has any thoughts about what should happen with the 2005 Heisman he won at USC but was forced to give up due to having accepted illegal benefits. While the Downtown Athletic Club has stated there will be no Heisman winner for that year, there is still clamoring that quarterback Vince Young, the 2005 runner-up from Texas, should get the trophy.
I havent really put any thought in it, and I dont really care to revisit that, Bush said. Whatever they do, it really doesnt matter to me . That was a time in my life that was very tough for me and my family to go through, so Ive moved on from that.
But Bush doesnt want to move on from the Dolphins.

Dolphins running back Reggie Bush's 87 yards Sunday were his most since Week 2, when he gashed Oakland for 172.Fantasy Spin:Bush also scored a touchdown Sunday, his fifth of the season. Hopefully you didn't bench the running back after he turned in 82 combined rushing yards over the last three games against some of the league's worst run defenses (Indianapolis, Tennessee, Buffalo).
Reggie Bush has given his career new life since joining the Miami Dolphins as a feature running back last season. With Ryan Tannehill‘s arrival this year, Bush now thinks a Super Bowl could be coming back to South Beach soon.
Bush won a Super Bowl with the Saints in 2010 and was a big part of the rebuilding process in New Orleans. While Tannehill is far from Drew Brees at this...
DAVIE, Fla. (AP) -- Reggie Bush's vantage point was from behind. Carrying the ball on a sweep, he happily followed 303-pound pulling center Mike Pouncey, who led the way like a runaway bulldozer.
"I knew it was going to be a big play," Bush said.
It ended in the end zone. The 21-yard touchdown run showed that when the Miami Dolphins get their ground game going, they...

You never know what you’re going to see when you watch an NFL game, right? On Sunday, through 3 quarters, the Dolphins offense seemed like it was sleepwalking and needed to be woken up….badly. Well, the grounds crew decided to throw some cold water on the Dolphins to help wake them up. With the Miami Dolphins trailing the Seahawks 14-7 in the 3rd quarter, the sprinkler...
The Miami Dolphins have done something very well during their 3 game losing streak….they’ve turned the ball over. The Dolphins have turned the ball over 7 times in the last 3 games and not created a turnover on defense. That, if you’re scoring at home, is the perfect recipe to losing football games. Every coach in the NFL will tell you that winning the turnover battle...
The Miami Dolphins have looked terrible the last 2 weeks, most notably on offense. Unfortunately, the Dolphins offense continued their poor play on through the first half of the game on Sunday. The Dolphins struggled to score only 7 points through 3 quarters against the stingy Seahawks defense in large part because they were pinned deep in their own territory for most of the...

The Miami Dolphins enter Sunday’s matchup against the Seahawks with one thing on their mind….winning. After losing 3 straight games in ugly fashion, the Dolphins hope to get back on the winning track. The Dolphins were once talking about the playoffs, but right now, they must focus on winning one game and inching back towards the .500 mark.

A Miami Dolphins rushing attack that was dominant at the start of the season has been all but a distant memory since. But Miami delivered an emphatic reminder in its 24-21 last-second victory over the Seattle Seahawks Sunday. The Dolphins accrued 189 yards rushing on the afternoon, their highest total since the second game of the season. In fact, Miami had not crossed the 100 yard...
