With the Colts organization undergoing a top-to-bottom housecleaning, one of the many players whose future is as questionable as Peyton Manning’s health is his longtime receiver, Reggie Wayne. And much like Manning, the five-time Pro Bowler may be a casualty as the team ushers in a new era. On Friday, Wayne revealed to ESPN’s Josina Anderson that the Colts haven’t contacted him since the season concluded, saying his phone “hasn’t rung yet.” “I know one thing, my phone works. I do have service and every last bar on it and their number has not come across it yet. I haven’t heard anything from them yet, so maybe I am not as important on the chain of command as I should be,” Wayne told Anderson. The 33-year-old would prefer to end his incredible career in Indianapolis, but admitted “those feelings” could change as more time passes. “All I know is the Colts. That is where I want to be. Wes Welker 'Too Perfect' for Patriots' Offense, And Adding Reggie Wayne or Brandon Lloyd Would Increase Depth

Fasten your seatbelts, Patriots fans. Because although you may not want to think about football following New England's Super Bowl loss to the Giants, we're in store for an interesting offseason, to say the least. At the forefront of it all is Wes Welker, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent, leaving many to wonder whether or not he'll return, and what exactly...

Report: Peyton Manning working out at Duke

According to Duke Hoop Blog, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning is working out with long-time friend David Cutcliffe, who’s the head football coach at Duke. Cutcliffe was Manning’s offensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee.  He also coached Peyton’s brother at Eli, at Ole Miss. It seems to me that Peyton’s looking for some help in re-gaining the arm strength he’s...

What should the Colts do at QB?

You have an opinion. I know you do. I have an opinion on this but ESPN Stats and Info only knows numbers. The numbers suggest Peyton Manning may not be the best bet for the Colts: Manning will turn 36 in March, but his window for success is still open. Three starting quarterbacks have won Super Bowls at 36 or older, Jim Plunkett, Johnny Unitas and John Elway. But things get a...

Seattle media makes their case for Peyton Manning

Seattle hasn’t been mentioned a lot as a possible landing spot for Peyton Manning, but it probably should be. They have a quality defense, salary cap room, a first class facility, and an owner that isn’t afraid to spend. (Or stay out of the way.) They have a quarterback need, but they are flexible enough…

You've got to be kidding. Sally Jenkins jumps on the Peyton Manning bandwagon.

Wow! Now Sally Jenkins jumps on the Peyton Manning to the Redskins bandwagon. Jenkins has been one of The Washington Post's severest critics of Daniel Snyder's habit of signing free agents with big name recognition to restore the Redskins' winning ways. And yet... "This is one instance in which Dan Snyder needs to be the Dan Snyder we used to know, the check-writer...

Report: Peyton working out at Duke, with Cutcliffe

Two weeks ago, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning said that dramatic changes in the franchise made the team facility a difficult place for healing.  And so Peyton apparently has decided to take a break. The folks at the Duke Hoop Blog report that Peyton is working out on campus, with long-time family friend and advisor David…

The waiting game continues with Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts according to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star. Despite anticipation a meeting would take place this week to at least begin the process of determining the rehabilitating quarterback's future with the team, that did not occur. On his Twitter account, owner Jim Irsay wrote: "Things r quiet this...
