Reggie Wayne was an integral part of a Colts offense that looked to be poised for serious contention in the AFC, and while the Colts are still atop the AFC South they are looking significantly less explosive having lost Wayne to a torn ACL and meniscus. The good news for the Colts however is that Reggie Wayne hopes to be back as soon as the start of camp next year. The veteran wide receiver recently underwent a checkup in Miami and was told he was ahead of schedule as he recovers from reconstructive knee surgery. Wayne expects to start running in a month and a half, and he hopes to go “full throttle” in four and a half months. It’s an aggressive timetable that could have Wayne ready for the start of training camp in July.-NFL.com The Colts would probably be better off bringing Wayne along slowly in order to ensure a full recovery and allow young receivers such as T.Y. Hilton and Da’Rick Rogers to develop. If that young group can live up to potential...

T.Y. Hilton has failed the Indianapolis Colts

Indianapolis Colts wideout T.Y. sprinkled uplifting magic onto his squad every time that he touched the football. This was at a time and place that Hilton had the privilege of playing off of Reggie Wayne who was injured against the Denver Broncos in October. Hilton was a spark-plug that earned the rights to a 37.6 yards per score stat line. Since that Wayne’s departure, Hilton...

Wayne is hoping to avoid any setbacks and be ready for training camp. Reggie update. @Schultz1260 Wayne says he’s expected to start running in a month and a half, and it’ll be 4 1/2 months until ...

Holidays are for the Birds: Early Week 14 Fantasy Football Pickups

Bah, humbug, I say!Yeah, the holidays are among us, and I, for one, am not pleased. Not only did my fantasy teams let me down (why did Andrew Luck decide to throw 4 touchdowns the only week I sit him? And does Reggie Bush have no sympathy for fantasy football players by deciding to sit out for a calf strain AFTER the 1 PM deadline for changing our rosters passed? The nerve!), but...

Colts work out WR Deion Branch

The Indianapolis Colts worked out wide receiver Deion Branch on Wednesday. Branch, 34, has not been on a NFL roster since 2012. If signed by the Colts he would figure to be little more than a fifth receiver for the Colts and not a difference maker with his on field play. Colts tried out former Patriots receiver Deion Branch, former Ravens running back Shaun Draughn and wide receiver...

NFL calls replay reversal 'judgment' call

Colts coach Chuck Pagano isn't looking for an apology over Jeff Triplette's latest officiating controversy. One day after the ref reversed a call on fourth-and-goal, giving the Bengals a touchdown at the end of the first half instead of the Colts a stop, Pagano says he's still waiting to hear from the NFL. Triplette made the change after he said the replay showed BenJarvus...

Colts' Reggie Wayne Ahead of Schedule

The 8-5 Indianapolis Colts have looked vulnerable of late, and much of that can be contributed to the loss of Pro Bowl wide receiver Reggie Wayne. Wayne tore his ACL and Meniscus in a non-contact injury in a Week 7 win against the Denver Broncos. The injury is a major hurdle for the potential Hall of Fame wide out, as the seriousness of the injury, coupled with his age (36), represents...

NFL admits making replay mistake in Colts game

Chuck Pagano took no solace in what everybody else at the Colts' complex already knew. Sunday's replay reversal, which gave the Bengals a touchdown, was a mistake. On Tuesday night, Dean Blandino, the NFL's head of officiating, told NFL Network there was not enough evidence to overrule the original call that BenJarvus Green-Ellis was stopped short of the goal line on...

QB Rankings – Week 15

QB Rankings – Week 15 Andrew Luck had been struggling for sustained fantasy production until Da’Rick Rogers and LaVon Brazill stepped up for the Colts in week fourteen. This week with the Texans on the slate many may be considering sitting Luck but he comes in as our 8th ranked QB play for week fifteen and is a recommended play despite playing against a Texans defense who has...

2013 Week 15 Fantasy Football Pickups

WR Da’Rick Rodgers (Indianapolis) Percent owned (ESPN): 0.1% The Colts might have found their replacement for Reggie Wayne. In the first real action of his career, the troubled but talented Rodgers caught 6 passes for 107 yards and 2 touchdowns, despite not playing even close to all of the snaps. He’ll almost certainly play above the useless Darius Heyward-Bey going forward and...

Struggling Colts won't rest players

The AFC South championship hats were on the chairs and inside the lockers at the Indianapolis Colts facility on Monday. Winning the division -- their first since 2010 -- and clinching a playoff spot can be crossed off the list. Now the Colts will move on to their next goal of making a run in the playoffs. But in order to reach that goal the Colts have a lot of work ahead of them...

Report: Colts Work Out WR Deion Branch

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Indianapolis Colts worked out veteran WR Deion Branch. Colts also worked out RB Shaun Draughn and WR Ty West. Branch, 34, has been out of the league since last year when he was with the New England Patriots. Branch totaled 16 receptions for 145 yards and no touchdowns in 2012. The Colts could really use some help at...

Deion Branch trying out for the Indianapolis Colts

Wait...what?If you just assumed Deion Branch was retired, you are sorely mistaken.Patriots fans had been clamoring for the team to re-sign Branch early this season with the offense in a severe funk. That never happened though, as Branch did not look like he had much left in the tank in his stint with the team last year. The Colts are having their own receiver problems though, and...

Houston Texans at Indianapolis Colts: 2013 Week 15 NFL Pick

Houston Texans (2-11) at Indianapolis Colts (8-5) The Texans fired Head Coach Gary Kubiak last week. They probably won’t give any effort this week right? That seems to be what the public thinks as they are all over the Colts as 6 point favorites here. I love fading the public whenever it makes sense, as the odds makers always win in the long run, especially when the public is wrong...

WR Rankings – Week 15

WR Rankings – Week 15 Da’Rick Rogers finally got his time to shine and responded with six receptions, two touchdowns and 107 yards this past Sunday. Rogers is the most talented receiver on the Colts roster not named Reggie Wayne and he should be targeted as such going forward. I have been waiting all season for WMFL preseason favorite Rogers to get meaningful snaps and he has...

Colts Have Hope with Rogers and Brazill

The Indianapolis Colts have been struggling offensively ever since they lost Reggie Wayne, but receivers Lavon Brazill and Da'Rick Rogers showed last week against the Bengals that there is still hope in this offense.   The Colts struggled passing the ball without Reggie Wayne. TY Hilton had a nice couple of games a month ago, but has a total of 145 receiving yards in his...
