After the Patriots defeated the Jets, Andre Carter was celebrated. The veteran defensive end earned 4.5 sacks of Gang Green QB Mark Sanchez. That set a franchise record. It lasted until today. Upon further review, the NFL awarded Carter’s half a sack to defensive end Mark Anderson, leaving Carter with just four on the game, which ties the record. Carter now has 8.5 on the season, while Anderson has 5.5 sacks (thanks to his new full one), already his second-highest total for a season. Not a huge deal, just kinda ruins his franchise record. Good for Anderson, though, who did bring Sanchez down by himself. On Tuesday, Carter made his thoughts known on his performance: “Whether it was me or somebody else, I just get fulfillment playing well.”
