  Five years ago today, the NFL football family lost a great father, friend and player in safety Sean Taylor. Sean Taylor followed in the footsteps of former Miami Hurricane greats as he established himself as a force in the defensive back field in college and at the pro level. After winning a BCS National Championship in 2001, Taylor was drafted by the Washington Redskins 5th overall and during his tenure became a 2 time Pro Bowl selection in 2006 and 2007. Although he did have a bit of a checkered history growing up in the rougher areas of the Miami, nobody could imagine that Sean Taylor would die the way he did. Taylor was shot on November 26th at 1:15am as an intruder tried to enter his home.  As a result he was wounded in his femoral artery.
