According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports via NFL.com, replay official Howard Slavin and side judge Lance Easley, a replacement official, received numerous death threats following last Monday night’s debacle in Seattle between the Seahawks and Packers. Glazer said that NFL security was forced to get involved because of how bad the situation got. I find it very sad and disturbing that people take football so seriously that they’ll stoop as low as sending death threats to officials that were only pawns during the NFL referee lock out.
