ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the 49ers have reached an agreement with free agent DT Glenn Dorsey.
The Chiefs reportedly wanted to keep Dorsey, but after they signed Mike DeVito it became clear that Dorsey would most likely be playing elsewhere next season.
San Francisco lost Isaac Sopoaga and Ricky Jean-Francois is unlikely to be back, so makes sense for them to bolster their defensive line with some reasonably priced talent. Dorsey hasn’t lived up to his draft status, but San Francisco is as good as any place to turn your career around.
We had him listed as the No. 83 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
