Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports that QB Colt McCoy‘s time with the 49ers is coming to and end. According to Rapoport, the 49ers have been making calls with the intent to trade McCoy to any interested team. Rapoport mentions that McCoy is likely to be released if they are unable to find any takers. The 49ers have actually received calls from NFL teams who are interested in McCoy. Rapoport adds that a limited backup quarterback market has help McCoy’s value. McCoy was acquired this preseason in exchange for a fifth-and seventh round pick, with in the hope that he could serve as an adequate backup to Colin Kaepernick. However, following horrendous showings in the preseason, the 49ers have opted to instead bring in veteran Seneca Wallace. Rookie B.J. Daniels has looked much better than McCoy, so it makes sense that his days are numbered in San Francisco. The Bills and Jets could both use some additional help at quarterback after the recent injuries to Kevin Kolb and Mark Sanchez. The Packers were also rumored to have interest in McCoy several months ago, but it appears as though they’re comfortable moving forward with Vince Young.   The post Report: 49ers Trying To Trade QB Colt McCoy appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.
