Aaron Rodgers apparently will follow in Brett Favre’s footsteps as it is being reported that the superstar Green Bay Packers quarterback has tested out his “legitimate” acting chops and will appear in one of the final episodes of the long-running NBC series “The Office.” Rodgers has made numerous appearances in commercials, most notably in commercials for State Farm, but acting on a television show is a big step. Rodgers’ debut as a comedic actor reportedly will involve taking on the challenging job of portraying himself. Green Bay’s WGBA-TV reports that Rodgers serves as a judge when one of Dunder Mifflin’s eccentric oddball characters auditions for something called “America’s Next A Capella Sensation.” My guess is it’s Angela. There’s no other character on that show that would be involved in this kind of competition, right? Of course we all remember how well Favre’s foray into acting went with his wooden performance in “There’s Something About Mary,” so let’s hope Rodgers is more of a natural presence in front of the camera than his Green Bay Packers quarterbacking predecessor. I mean, he can do the “Discount Double-Check,” how hard can acting really be? The State Farm ads aside, in order to adequately answer that question as it pertains to any acting acumen Rodgers may or may not have, Eye on Football has dug up an old commercial Rodgers did for a local law office: Uh-oh. Okay, actually, that wasn’t half-bad. [image via TotalPackers.com] The post Report: Aaron Rodgers to make guest-starring appearance on ‘The Office’ appeared first on Sportress of Blogitude.
