Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was carted off the practice field on Thursday with what appeared to be a left knee injury, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Cornerback Joselio Hanson told reporters he heard the injury was not serious.
"It looked bad, but they said he was going to be all right, expecting to come back (Friday) and practice," Hanson said.
The Eagles said Asomugha would undergo further evaluation before the team announced a diagnosis and prognosis. On the practice report, Asomugha was listed as a "partial participant."
If Asomugha can't play in Sunday's home game against the New England Patriots, Brandon Hughes likely will take his place. Hanson is filling in for the injured Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (high ankle sprain). The Eagles also could go with rookie Curtis Marsh.
