TEAMS: Chicago Bears, Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers
The Chicago Bears will be without running back Marion Barber for Sunday's NFC North clash with the Green Bay Packers, the Chicago Tribune reported.
Kahlil Bell is expected to shoulder the load in the absence of Barber, who is nursing a calf injury.
"There are bigger concerns I have, and Kahlil is not one of them," coach Lovie Smith told the Chicago Tribune. "... I'm excited about the opportunity he has."
In his first season in Chicago, Barber has rushed 114 times for 422 yards and six touchdowns.
Bell had 15 carries for 65 yards while reeling in five receptions for 43 yards in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
The 25-year-old Bell has rushed 39 times for 162 yards this season.
