Steelers.com According to Mike Freeman of CBS Sports, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger could be ready to go for next week’s match up against the Ravens. Some in the organization thought that while the rib injury was a serious immediate threat, it wasn’t the long-term issue some were making it out to be. This isn’t to say the rib injury is totally healed, but all signs point to Roethlisberger playing sooner rather than later. The rib has healed quickly, and the shoulder isn’t as bad. Big Ben is on the mend. This news has caused some in the Pittsburgh locker room to be utterly amazed at Roethlisberger’s healing powers. There’s no question, once upon a time, some of Roethlisberger’s teammates wondered if his pain and injuries were slightly exaggerated by the quarterback so he could appear to be football’s version of Willis Reed. It’s really amazing how quickly Roethlisberger is healing.  I’m sure he’s been determined to make sure he gets back for next week’s game against the Ravens, since he missed their first meeting..   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";
