A bit of late night news out of One Bills Drive, the organization and Guard Kraig Urbik have reportedly agreed to a contract extension. The news was first reported by ESPN. According to the report, the contract is four years and worth $15-million. The exact breakdown of payments is unknown at this point. The deal comes at no surprise to many, as Urbik was one of the Bills top priorities, aside of Andy Levitre and Jairus Byrd, whose contracts were coming up at the end of the season. Getting him under contract now allows Buffalo to focus on resigning the two previously mentioned players. Urbik joined the Bills in 2010 after being claimed off waivers from the Pittsburgh Steelers. After time as a backup, Urbik eventually became the team’s starting right guard opposite of Levitre. Urbik has also been able to play center for the Bills when needed beacause of injury which makes his importance to the team that much more due to his versatility. The team has yet to confirm the extension, but it is expected to happen at some point on Tuesday. Stay tuned to Queen City Sports for the latest.
