There are several teams in the NFL that could use a quality wide receiver like Brandon Lloyd.
Unfortunately for those teams, Lloyd may have already played his final game. National Football Post via Jason La Canfora is reporting that Lloyd has no intentions of playing football this season, and is likely to retire.
Plenty of teams with need at wide receiver, but I continue to hear free agent Brandon Lloyd does not intend to play football

Floyd caught 385 passes for 35 touchdowns during his 10 year career with the 49ers, Redskins, Bears, Broncos, Rams and Patriots.
BEST OF MAXIM
The Patriots and Tom Brady are a high flying offense. If there's one QB in the league that can put up 7 TDs, its Tom.
After postings a record of 164-92 last season, I'm ready to breakthrough to 70% this season.
We've started off on the right foot by getting the Broncos game right.
Here's a look at Week 1.
Vikings @ Lions - Detroit wins. This...
New England: 23 Buffalo: 21
After an incredibly sloppy game on both sides, the New England Patriots were able to escape Buffalo with a victory.
Tom Brady marched his Patriots down the field as Stephen Gostkowski drilled the game-winning field goal with just five seconds left.
Tom Brady: 29-52, 288 yards, two touchdowns and one interception
Leon Washington was a notable signing for the Patriots during the offseason. Shortly after making the 53-man roster, Washington was cut. However, it appears that the void left by Washington's departure in the kick return game is not something that could be filled internally by candidates such as Shane Vereen and even 250 lb. back, LeGarrette Blount. After working out for a...
Wow the opening weekend of the NFL is here. At the beginning of training camp and after attending many training sessions. The Buffalo Bills left a lot of training time on the table. They would end practice a half hour early at least during most practices. Look for the fatigue factor for the Bills to come into play the last twenty minutes of the game. The Patiots should be...
According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has chance to return to the field in time for New England’s week three match up with the Buccaneers.
With the Patriots playing their second game on Thursday, and with a truncated week of practice, Gronkowski is not expected back until Week 3 at the earliest. However, should he continue to work back...
Typically 74 catches, 900 yards and four touchdowns earns you a raise in the NFL, not a one-way ticket to retirement. Brandon Lloyd appears to be the exception to that rule.
After an impressive season with the Patriots in 2012, Lloyd was released by the team in March and remains without an NFL team as the season gets underway. The lack of interest this offseason left the 32-year...
FOXBORO, Mass. — Despite practicing all week, it’s unlikely we see Rob Gronkowski this weekend against the Bills.
Gronkowski was listed as doubtful on the Patriots’ injury report. He was a limited participant with forearm and back injuries all week.
Danny Amendola was listed as probable with a groin injury. He was Wednesday and Thursday, but he was a full participant in...
New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel have very little in common. One is a Heisman Trophy winner and the other was relatively unknown in college. One makes things happen with his legs, while the other is one of the greatest pocket passers of all-time. And then, there’s the whole […]
Today, former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, pleaded not guilty on all of the charges related to his murder case. The arraignment was scheduled for this afternoon in Fall River Superior Court. The charges were brought in from the Odin Lloyd murder that happened in mid June.
Hernandez, 23, was coming off a stellar season for the Patriots that also granted him a brand new contract...
What is your biggest question mark for the Patriots heading into the 2013 season?
Raj: The Patriots do not look like a super bowl-contending team. With the departure of Wes Welker and Danny Woodhead, the injury to Rob Gronkowski, and the fiasco involving Aaron Hernandez, the Patriots have a lot of gaps in the offense. I don't see this offense as the potent offense...
Just in case you'd forgotten how much of a hypocritical bag of **** Ray Lewis, here he is on ESPN to remind you.
Lewis was on a panel during ESPN's Sunday NFL Countdown when the subject of Aaron Hernandez and crime in the NFL came up. Here are his incoherent thoughts.
“I want to make sure we clear something up because we have to do this
for our brand of the National...
The 2013 NFL season is finally here, and we are well underway with a slew of 1pm games. Tom Brady has hit Danny Amendola for a touchdown on the Patriots first drive, while Adrian Peterson took off on a 78-yard…Read more →
