Brandon Stokley started his career with the Baltimore Ravens and he’ll likely end his career with the Baltimore Ravens. Stokley has agreed to a one-year contract with the Ravens, according to reports from USA Today Sports and Aaron Wilson of The Baltimore Sun. After trading Anquan Boldin to the 49ers during the offseason, the Ravens have also lost tight end Dennis Pitta, who will be sidelined the entire season with a hip injury and Deonte Thompson who is dealing with an ankle injury. Baltimore needed a veteran receiver and they are counting on the 37-year-old to move the chains. Stokley almost retired after playing only two games with the Giants in 2011, but re-signing with Denver and reuniting with Peyton Manning rejuvenated Stokley’s career the next season. After signing Wes Welker to a two-year deal, however, the Broncos elected not to bring Stokley back in 2013. Stokley caught 45 passes for 544 yards and five touchdowns last season for Denver. Stokley was drafted by the Ravens in the fourth round of the 1999 draft. The wide receiver played in Baltimore until 2002 and was an integral member of the team that won Super Bowl XXXV in 2001.
