The Denver Broncos will have to begin the regular season without starting linebacker D.J. Williams due to a dislocated right elbow, the Denver Post reported Monday. Williams is expected to miss three to four weeks after suffering the injury in Saturday night's preseason victory over the Seattle Seahawks. The 29-year-old has been a mainstay in the Broncos' defense for the past seven seasons, and was the team's top tackler in 2009 and 2010. He will miss the Sept. 12 opener against Oakland and may also have to sit out Week 2 against Cincinnati. The Denver defense has battled through several injuries in the preseason, with starting defensive tackle Ty Warren out until November with a torn triceps muscle. If the team opts to place him on injured reserve, he would miss the entire season. Fellow defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley suffered a sprained knee Saturday, but told the Post he was confident he would be ready to play in the season opener.
