Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports told Bull and FOX on CBS Radio that the Cleveland Browns’ front office isn’t sold on rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden as their long-term answer. Since Weeden wasn’t taken until late in the first round of this year’s draft, the Browns don’t owe him a lot of money going forward and could afford to move on from him and draft a quarterback in this coming April’s draft.   Need NFL Tickets? var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "g...

  • They shouldn'tbe sold on him. He has not been very good and faints at any sign of pressure and misses way too many open receivers. To his benefit, many say he is not playing in a system he is comfortable with (he is a spread guy, and being forced to play West Coast). He also has Pat Shurmur as his HC. Shurmur, whose claim to fame is having made Sam Bradford a decent QB in St. Louis??? A team trying to rebuild and had opportunities to draft or trade to draft RG3 or other more seasoned QBs, had no business wasting a 1st round draft-choice on a then-28 year old baseball wash-out with just 2 years college experience and no track record or flash. Holmgren and crew were complete bozos in their drafts and hires.
  • Big problem. Neither Gino Smith nor Matt Barkley are any better than Weeden. Better be a fantastic unknown waiting for us somewhere. I think we should hold fast this draft on the QB and hope for better next year. It's not like we couldn't use linebackers, CBs, pass rusher, OG, wide receiver this year.

Browns vs. Steelers Reader’s Survey

It’s going to be the toughest game to predict all year in all likelihood. The Browns and Steelers don’t have anything to play for but pride and paychecks. It could be the last game as a member...

Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports told Bull and Fox on CBS Radio in Cleveland that if Alabama head coach Nick Saban does return to the NFL, it would be to coach the Cleveland Browns. It sounds like...
