Looks possible that Norv Turner may not be the only former Chargers coach joining Rod Chudzinski in Cleveland. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports: Browns HC Rob Chudzinski targeting SD’s John Pagano as his defensive coordinator. KC also did, but Chargers wouldn’t let him out of deal yet — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 12, 2013 Ohio.com’s Nate Ulrich adds: Pagano was a defensive coordinator for the first time during the 2012 season. The Chargers ranked 24th with 326.4 yards allowed per game and 17th with 21.9 points allowed per game. On Friday, Chudzinski, an offensive coach, and CEO Joe Banner indicated they like hybrid defenses that use 3-4 and 4-3 alignments, but the defensive coordinator will ultimately decide the type of scheme the Browns use. The Browns have used a 4-3 system for the past two seasons under defensive coordinator Dick Jauron, who’s not expected to return. Pagano ran a 3-4 base defense in San Diego, but the Chargers also used multiple looks. Outside linebackers would often move up to the line and get into a three-point stance to create a four-man front. Pagano is the younger brother of Colts coach Chuck Pagano. NFL News: Browns deny interviews for ST coach Chris Tabor

Titans should ask, what's wrong with this picture?

Among all the firings of coaches and general managers around the league last week, there were three I thought were noteworthy regarding their success against the Titans.  Those three are former Chargers G.M. A.J. Smith and coach Norv Turner and former Bears coach Lovie Smith. As we painfully recall, the Chargers and Bears each humiliated the Titans in 2012, by scores of 38-10...

Chudzinski Named Browns Head Coach

Chudzinski worked with Cam Newton the past two seasons with the Panthers. It is been rumored that former Chargers coach Norv Turner will join Chudzinski as the offensive coordinator.

San Diego Chargers 2013 Needs

3 years ago everyone was calling for Norv Turner to be fired because of the Chargers’ tendency to have strong regular seasons and then choke in the playoffs every year. I bet the Chargers would trade the last three years for that. Over the last 3 years, the Chargers have begun their underachieving earlier, missing the playoffs in all 3 seasons. On one hand, things are looking up...
