The Ravens might need to look to the draft to find a backup quarterback because Marc Bulger reportedly has an "understanding" with the Arizona Cardinals. This could be the main reason why the Cardinals are expected to pass on Missouri quarterback Blaine Gabbert with the fifth overall pick. Bulger had considered the Cardinals last offseason before signing a one-year, $3.8 million contract with the Ravens. According to the Sports Xchange: “A lot of people in the league feel the Cardinals already have an understanding with pending free agent Marc Bulger. The Cardinals would have liked to sign Bulger last year, and coach Ken Whisenhunt lobbied for a deal, but Arizona had already agreed with Derek Anderson and management didn’t see a way to bring in two veterans.” This doesn't come as a surprise because many expected Bulger to look for a starting job in 2011.
