Per a tweet from Adam Schefter of ESPN, Steelers quarterback Byron Leftiwch broke two ribs Sunday night in their loss against the Ravens:
Leftwich went 18/39 for 201 yards and an interception in his first start in three years. He was in obvious pain after taking a hard shot from Baltimore safety James Ihedigbo. The Steelers ended up losing a close game to their division rival, 13-10. The Steelers are already without All Pro quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who was quietly having a stellar season, completing 66.1% of his throws for 2,287 yards, 17 touchdowns and four interceptions, posting a 100.0 passer rating. . The Steelers will likely start 15-year veteran Charlie Batch, who has a 56.3% career completion percentage, with 60 touchdowns and 48 interceptions for a 77.8 passer rating. The Steelers are rumored to be working out additional quarterbacks this week.
