The Carolina Panthers are facing dark times. Last season, they finished with the worst record in the NFL. Unfortunately, because of a draft trade Carolina made in 2023, the Panthers did not even get to keep their top overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
As a result, it has caused Panthers fans to practically abandon the team. Ticket prices for games following the 2024 NFL schedule release reflect this. Just how bad is it? Read below to find out.
The Carolina Panthers have eight home games in Charlotte this season. We will exclude the technical home game they have in Munich, Germany for these purposes.
Looking at the eight real home games the Panthers have on their schedule, ticket demand is noticeably low. Just how low is it? Tickets for one of their games start at as little as $32.
That is not just for one game on the schedule either. Five of their home games have tickets available for less than $50. If you bought the cheapest ticket available for each of the Panthers’ home games at the time of writing, you could buy tickets to all eight games for a total cost of $605.
That comes out to just over $75 per game. However, there is one important note to add to this. The Panthers play the Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys at home this season. Those two games would cost at least $357 on their own.
Some fans may write this off as the 2023 season not helping the Panthers. While it is true they had the worst record in the NFL, having a poor season has not impacted every team that drafted highly.
Let’s look at the New England Patriots as a comparison. They had the third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Yet, tickets to all eight of their home games next season cost more than double the Panthers at around $1,400 at the time of writing.
It is clear things need to change for the Panthers. If there is no sign of progress this season, they could risk alienating fans for years to come. However, with a new front office, a new head coach, and a year of NFL experience under QB Bryce Young’s belt, Carolina is hoping things move in a different direction this upcoming season.
