According to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego Chargers plan on releasing defensive end Luis Castillo. Castillo still has three years remaining on his current deal and is due a $1 million bonus next month and a $3.9 million salary in 2012. Castillo suffered a fractured leg during the first week of the regular season in 2011 and missed the entire season. The Chargers wouldn’t mind signing Castillo to a lesser deal, once he tests the free agent market.
