ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen are reporting that the Chiefs and Andy Reid are on the “verge” of reaching an agreement for Reid to become Kansas City’s next head coach.
According to Schefter’s source, “the major issues have been discussed and agreed upon.”
We heard something similar just a few days ago and other reports are coming in that Reid still has interviews setup with the Cardinals and Chargers, so it could be a little premature to assume that this deal gets done in the near future.
If Reid does in fact take the job, it’s a pretty clear indication that Scott Pioli will be replaced as the team’s general manager.
