According to the Miami Herald, a Jaguars source indicated that quarterback David Garrard  “got fat and happy” after they gave him a big contract back in 2008.

The good news for the Dolphins is that Garrard’s professionalism and on the field performance have been impressive so far this offseason.

Garrard probably realizes that if he doesn’t perform now, his career will soon be over.

Should the Dolphins take a shot at Josh Gordon in the Supplemental Draft?

The Miami Dolphins are just 2.5 weeks away from getting back on the football field….and honestly, it can’t get here soon enough!  When the Dolphins return to the practice field, there is a chance they could have just one more receiver in the mix.  On Thursday, the NFL will hold it’s supplemental draft.  For those [...]

Dolphins and Ryan Tannehill Not on Same Page!

After reading Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald three main points came to mind regarding Ryan Tannehill and his chances of being the quarterback this season. First, Jackson mentions that because Ryan Tannehill did not receive enough reps during mini camp and went to both Offensive coordinator Mike Sherman and Coach Joe Philbin for an explanation and more reps. The fact that Tannehill...

Reggie Bush on Ryan Tannehill: “Ryan can watch the veterans and learn”

Reggie Bush has seen enough of David Garrard, Matt Moore, and Ryan Tannehill, and he thinks the rookie should be third on the depth chart. David Garrard has been impressive and Matt Moore who could be a major obstacle for Tannehill to hurdle past. Tannehill was the quarterback with the most upside in the 2012 draft, but was also the one who needed the most work. The Dolphin drafted...

Dolphins Training Camp battles

Herm Edwards believes Buffalo Bills could challenge for wild card

NFL analyst Herm Edwards has jumped onto the Buffalo Bills bandwagon. During a recent ESPN segment, analysts were asked to pick five teams which would make the playoffs this upcoming season. The five teams chosen had to be teams which missed the play-offs last season. Edwards said the Buffalo Bills had a strong chance of claiming the wild card and could finish ahead of the...

A great moment at Everbank Field in 2007

This may be my favorite series of event in the history of football. By my count, the Raiders had 4 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties called after one play. Hat tip to this Big Cat Country article for making me search for the video on Youtube. The best part is that David Garrard threw an INT immediately after the penalites.

Open QB competitions don't exist

There are a number of teams this offseason that have declared their quarterback position to be up for grabs. The Dolphins, Browns, Seahawks, and Titans have highly contested battles at the position, and those teams would like their quarterbacks to believe that each of them has a shot at landing the starting job. Sorry guys. I'm not buying the "open competition" rhetoric...
