Doctors who performed brain surgery on Detroit Lions running back Jerome Harrison last Friday reportedly believe they were able to remove the entire tumor. The growth was discovered during a physical after Harrison had been
traded from Detroit to Philadelphia earlier this week for Ronnie Brown.
The trade was rescinded.
The Detroit Free Press reported that Harrison had been experiencing
headaches with the Lions, at times wearing sunglasses fitted with a
visor on the field, according to teammates.
Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia reported that the team physician for
the Eagles ordered an MRI exam when Harrison told him he was
experiencing headaches.
The Lions placed Harrison on the reserve/non-football illness list Friday.
