According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he doesn’t believe the Philadelphia Eagles will end up trading into the top five of next week’s draft. “Chances are, they are not going up in the top five picks of this draft,” said Schefter via Evan Silva. The Eagles would obviously have to give up way too much in order to trade up into the top five.  It looks like there’s more of a chance that they’ll be able to get into the top ten.  But I believe we won’t know anything until draft day.

Peter King of SI.com wrote in this week’s installment of his Monday Morning Quarterback  column that the Philadelphia Eagles don’t want to trade up from the 15th pick to anywhere between the 3rd and 8th picks of the draft.  He also believes that their interest in Ryan Tannehill has been “overstated.” King also said that the Eagles have been “sniffing around” the quarterback...

Schefter: Weeden will likely be taken in the early 2nd round

ESPN’s Adam Schefter wrote on his blog that he believes Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden will be taken early in the second round of next week’s draft. “My sense is that Weeden is going to go at the top of the second round to a team that doesn’t get Tannehill,” said Schefter. ”Maybe Cleveland, Buffalo, Kansas City or Seattle.
