Brought to our attention by Bleeding Green Nation and confirmed by a report from Sportsnet Canada, the Eagles have agreed to terms with FA safety Oshiomogho Atogwe.
Atogwe, 30, spent last season with the Washington Redskins where he started 8 games. He totaled 0.5 sacks, 3 picks, 60 tackles, and 6 pass deflections last year.
"O.J." Atogwe turns 31 next week and previous injury battles could limit his potential for the Birds. If he can remain healthy, however, he'll bring some stability to the back end of the secondary.
He could fill the void that's been plaguing the team for the past few seasons with his veteran leadership and ability to still make plays.
