Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports that the Philadelphia Eagles have “legitimate interest” in Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly. Glazer adds that Kelly is currently out of the country. ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen are reporting that the Eagles have in fact met with Kelly regarding their head coaching vacancy and could resume talking once he returns from his trip. Kelly is respected around the NFL for his CEO-style approach towards running his football program. The Fighting Irish had a miserable showing in the BCS title game, so there’s at least a chance that he would consider leaving South Bend for the NFL. He initially said that he intends to remain at Notre Dame last week. The Eagles are reportedly considering Falcons DC Mike Nolan, Broncos OC Mike McCoy, Colts OC Bruce Arians, Lovie Smith, Bengals OC Jay Gruden, Falcons ST coordinator Keith Armstrong and Seahawks DC Gus Bradley for their head coaching vacancy.     The post Report: Eagles Targeting Notre Dame HC Brian Kelly appeared first on NFL Trade Rumors -.

  • Rumors, rumors and more rumors. I actually hope he does leave Notre Dame for the pros because I had always been an Irish fan until he took over. The man is a real bag of shitt. Just ask the guys who were his players at Cincinatti when he packed up his office without telling them he was leaving. And this after he said they would be the first to know if he took the job at Notre Dame. His players heard about it on ESPN instead. And if that's not enough, ask the family of Declan Sullivan who had to lay their son to rest when he was killed when the scissor lift he was filming one of kelly's practices from crashed to the ground from 50 feet in the air. Crashed to the ground because of dangerously high winds that were forecast for the area. Every other college in the area practiced indoors under those conditions. But kelly felt that filming his stinking practice was more important than the life of that young man. Yeah, he would be perfect in philly....and I can root for my Irish again, I'm all for it.
