Pro Football Zone:
According to Dan Pompei of the National Football Post, the Philadelphia Eagles will likely draft a quarterback early in this year’s draft. If they can’t get Ryan Tannehill they might go after either Brandon Weeden or Kirk Cousins in the second round.
This is clearly a sign the Eagles aren’t confident in Michael Vick’s durability and let’s face it, he’s going to be 32 years-old this season and he’s only going to keep take brutal shots outside the pocket.
If the Eagles get a quarterback in the second round, they could sit him for a couple of years, then move on from Vick.

Peter King of SI.com wrote in this week’s installment of his Monday Morning Quarterback column that the Philadelphia Eagles don’t want to trade up from the 15th pick to anywhere between the 3rd and 8th picks of the draft. He also believes that their interest in Ryan Tannehill has been “overstated.”
King also said that the Eagles have been “sniffing around” the quarterback...
Mary Kay Cabot, of the Plain Dealer in Cleveland, reported that the Philadelphia Eagles are one of four teams interested in trading up to the No. 4 overall pick in the 2012 NFL draft.
Not to discredit Cabot, who’s reputation is solid, but it seems awfully convenient that the report comes out of Cleveland. The Browns, as you may know, are the holders of the No. 4 pick.
With the rumor floating around that the Philadelphia Eagles are looking to trade up and acquire the fourth overall pick from the Cleveland Browns, it only makes sense that they would be targeting Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
If the Eagles want to move on from Michael Vick after the 2012 season, they can do so, since they gave themselves a way out of his deal after the...
Speculation about the intentions of the Philadelphia Eagles in this year’s draft have been running amok for months. And the team knows just how to keep us all guessing.
Meeting with Robert Griffin III at the NFL Combine. Hosting a number of quarterbacks for pre-draft visits. And per a report on Saturday, making an inquiry with the Cleveland Browns about trading up to the number...
Dan Graziano of ESPN.com did a breakdown DeSean Jackson’s new contract and determined that the Philadelphia Eagles could easily get out of his contract after just two seasons.
If the Eagles choose to keep Jackson for the final three years of the deal, they would be paying him well below market value, which would clearly favor the Eagles.
At the end of the day, it looks like the...
Vince Young was most known last season for his “Dream Team” comments and for looking incredibly lost in the Eagles West Coast Offense. A report from Bleeding Green Nation says that Vince Young recently asked Andy Reid about returning to the Eagles in 2012 and the answer may surprise you… “One of the biggest things [...]
Many football guys, including myself was surprised to hear of the DeSean Jackson deal a few weeks back. I mean let’s be honest doesn’t everyone remembered him last year pouting because he didn’t have new deal. He wasn’t a team player, and he showed shades of a Randy Moss or even a Terrell Owens. All three of them have one thing in common which is an outstanding play-making...
The 2012 NFL draft is a week and a half a way. Have there been major shifts in the conventional wisdom of who the Eagles may take with their #15 overall pick?
Let’s have a look at what the latest mock drafts have the Eagles doing in the 2nd round.
Boston College ILB Luke Kuechley is still thought to be a likely pick for Philadelphia by Rob Rang of CBS Sports, citing his amazing...
We all know that the air is filled with lies this time of year as teams posture and pose to try and create scenarios for draft day. If a Philly report is true, the thoughts of trading the Browns fourth pick to the Eagles is just another in a long line of misinformed nuggets.
Citing a high-level Eagles source, CSN Philly’s Reuben Frank reports that the report of Philly’s interest...
According to Reuben Frank of CSNPhilly.com, the Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns have been talking all the time and they’ve discussed a trade for the fourth overall pick.
Right now though, the chances of the Eagles trading up from the 15th pick to the 4th pick are very slim.
At the end of the day, I really don’t believe that the Eagles are very serious about trading up...
Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer is reporting that the Philadelphia Eagles and St. Louis Rams are interested in trading up for the 4th pick in the draft.
Could the Eagles target Tannehill?
It’s fairly safe to assume that the Rams would be targeting Justin Blackmon, but the Eagles interest is not as clear.
Blackmon would certainly add another dimension to their offense...
