According to Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports, sources have told him that there’s a good chance the Philadelphia Eagles will decide to “rest” quarterback Michael Vick for the remainder of the season. Reid will then try to develop rookie quarterback Nick Foles and use that as an excuse to keep his job. “I’m 99 percent sure that’s exactly what you’re going to see happen,” a source said Monday morning, per Cole. “Andy is going to go to [owner] Jeff [Lurie] and [general manager] Howie [Roseman] and say, ‘Let’s go with Foles and make the transition to the next era.’ ” This is sad, Reid is willing to do whatever he can to save his job even though he’s completely failed as a head coach this season.  Hopefully Lurie will see right through it and still fire Reid.   var _CI = _CI || {}; (function() { var script = document.createElement('script'); ref = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; _CI.counter = (_CI.counter) ? _CI.counter + 1 : 1; document.write(''); script.type = 'text/javascript'; script.src = 'http://widget.crowdignite.com/widgets/27484?_ci_wid=_CI_widget_'+_CI.counter; script.async = true; ref.parentNode.insertBefore(script, ref); })(); sr_adspace_id = 1000005525107; sr_adspace_width = 300; sr_adspace_height = 250; sr_ad_new_window = true; sr_adspace_type = "graphic";
