Fox Sports Southwest:
Tom Brady has been known to hurt defenses with his arm, but he may have also done some damage with his leg last season.
Former Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed, who is recovering from hip surgery in his first season with the Houston Texans, believes the injury occurred when the New England Patriots quarterback kicked him in the AFC championship game.
"Only play I can look at is when I got kicked by a certain quarterback but even then I played in the Super Bowl and you saw what happened there," Reed told the Houston Chronicle on Tuesday.
Reed didn't have the surgery to repair a torn labrum in his hip until April 30.
The kick apparently wasn't intentional. He said Brady has apologized for the incident.
Reed and the Ravens shut down Brady and the Patriots 28-13 for the AFC title and went on to defeat the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl.

The most action a backup quarterback could see in the NFL may be during offseason minicamps and training camps. Ryan Mallett knows this first hand as he competes for the number two job against Tim Tebow behind Tom Brady.
The ever quotable Rex Ryan.
The New York Jets head coach is always good for saying something funny. Of course, Patriots fans have grown to hate him for his bombastic predictions and Patriots trash talk, however, Ryan isn't all trash talk. He breaks out the jokes too!
Ryan held a press conference today for Jets minicamp and obviously Tim Tebow came up. The Patriots just signed...
When the Patriots failed to re-sign Wes Welker, a division seemed to temporarily open between quarterback Tom Brady and the team. Brady openly questioned why Welker had been allowed to walk, and was clearly angry.
For Wes Welker, it's less of an open and shut discussion. He seems to be enjoying his new gig with the Denver Broncos, and when you go from Tom Brady to Peyton...
