ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Philadelphia Eagles brought in former Cowboys RB Felix Jones for a workout on Tuesday.
Jones, a former first-round pick, has found almost no interest on the open market this offseason. He did visit with the Bengals back in April, but they chose to draft Giovanni Bernard out of North Carolina in the second-round of the recent draft.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones previously mentioned that he’s open to re-signing Jones, but there’s been no indication that this is still something that the team is considering.
As for the Eagles, they currently have LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown as their top-two running backs as they head into training camp. They also signed undrafted RB Miguel Maysonet in recent weeks, so this could be them doing their due diligence regarding available free agents.
We have Jones listed as the No. 15 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
