NFL Trade Rumors:
The Dallas Morning News’ Brandon George tweeted Monday morning that the Dallas Cowboys have made more than one offer to free agent offensive guard Brian Waters.
While the two parties have yet to come to an agreement, George remarks the two sides “have been dancing for some time.”
Waters, 36, last played for the New England Patriots. The six-time Pro Bowler has also spent a decade with the Kansas City Chiefs, who moved him from a tight end to an offensive lineman. Waters’ NFL career actually began with the Cowboys, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 1999.
Prior to the 2012 season, Waters infamously told the Pats that he would willingly sit out the 2012 season unless the club could move him to a franchise closer to his family in Texas. The team released him this April.
Perhaps a reunion with the Cowboys would be the best case scenario for Waters.

The Patriots' offseason has been one of the most difficult in NFL history. Not only did they lose players to free agency and injury, they had the Hernandez situation.
Heading into their first preseason games there were more questions about this offense than there's been in years.
Here's my three step drop on the Pats so far.
Step 1 - The Pats have a solid...
Football nuts all around New England and Philadelphia hoarded around their TV last night to get a first look at what the 2013-14 version of their respective franchises would look like this year. Week 1 of the preseason is always a coming out party from everyone to giant free agent lands, to number 1 draft picks to undrafted free agents looking to make a name for themselves. Preseason...
The Dallas Cowboys are leaving Irving. On Tuesday the Cowboys announced plans to move their headquarters from Irving to Frisco upon winning approval of a $115 million developmental plan. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and his son Stephen traveled to Frisco where multi-use sports facilities will open in 2016. “Frisco is a city (that) they think big and they act bold. They have a vision...
FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots defense is finally experiencing some continuity this season. They’re bringing back 10 of 11 starters and should be showing more complex looks this season as a result.
Despite some familiar faces, the group wants to forge a new identity.
“I mean, it’s some of the same faces, some new faces,” Aqib Talib said. “We’re going to try to establish...
(Eds: APNewsNow. Will be updated.) By SCHUYLER DIXON AP Sports Writer Miles Austin wishes he'd kept a journal of how he felt during each of his eight training camps with the Dallas Cowboys.
The receiver can be sure of one thing: This year's entries would be a lot more upbeat than those from the previous two seasons.
Austin hasn't missed any time because of hamstrings...

When you are the quarterback of a NFL team, you are going to get the majority of praise when they win and blame when they lose. That is life, so the Cowboys need to stop babying Tony Romo.
He is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, so of course he is going to be judged by wins and losses. I am sure if they Cowboys went 14-2 every year, no one...

OXNARD, Calif. -- Heading into the 2004 training camp under head coach Bill Parcells, the Dallas Cowboys still felt like All-Pro safety Darren Woodson could play a couple more seasons. With Woodson making most of the calls in the secondary, third-year player Roy Williams could focus on making big plays near the line of scrimmage.
Unfortunately, Woodson couldn't recover from...
Former Houston Texans defensive lineman Travis Johnson must not really like Tony Romo, because Johnson ripped into Romo something fierce recently.
Johnson was a guest on Comcast Sports Net Houston, when he was asked about Romo not being judged by wins and losses. Johnson called “Romo a thief, and stated he hasn’t earned a dollar he received.”
“When Tony Romo got to Dallas...
We’re still only three weeks into Patriots training camp, but the rookies — both drafted and undrafted — appear to be adapting well to the system in New England.
Kenbrell Thompkins and Zach Sudfeld have been the stars of camp, but Jamie Collins, Duron Harmon and Logan Ryan all appeared comfortable out with the first- and second-team defense out in Philadelphia. All three players...
