Seahawks Blog:
Kicker Olindo Mare will sign Seattle's franchise tender on Friday, according to a report from ProFootballTalk.com. That ends any uncertainty that was left. You'll remember that last year, linebacker Leroy Hill didn't sign the franchise tender, which was subsequently rescinded and Hill ended up signing for a long-term contract that was lower in terms of average-per-year. Defensive end Aaron Kampman of Green Bay -- someone rumored to be a target for Seattle -- appears to be headed for a free-agent visit with Philadelphia. I've had several questions regarding Seattle's potential interest in safety Dawan Landry but there's no visit set up at this time.
