The NFL's replacement refs have been the recipients of some serious verbal lashings. None of the outbursts likely compare to the one Steelers linebacker Larry Foote reportedly gave officials on Sunday. Foote yelled, "You should go kill yourselves" at the officials as they entered the locker room following Sunday's Steelers-Raiders game, according to CBS Pittsburgh's Jory Rand. It isn't exactly known what sparked Foote's rage, but Steelers defensive end Ziggy Hood was taken out at the knees by Oakland's Willie Smith in the fourth quarter, which infuriated the Steelers. Rand recounted the whole ordeal involving Foote on Twitter, even wondering...

Larry Foote to the replacement refs: ”You should go kill yourselves”
According to Jory Rand of KDKA-TV Pittsburgh, Steelers linebacker Larry Foote yelled ‘”you should go kill yourselves” at the replacement officials as he entered the locker room at the end of Sunday’s loss to the Raiders.
It looks like the NFL might have something else to investigate, if they choose to. If anything he might receive a small fine from the league office. ...
Report: Troy Polamalu Optimistic He Will Play Against Eagles
The Pittsburgh Steelers are back on the practice field on Tuesday before heading off to the bye week and Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports via Twitter that both linebacker James Harrison (knee) and safety Troy Polamalu (calf) are getting work in today.
The team is not required to release a practice participation report during the bye week so we don't know...
Steelers Larry Foote Reportedly Tells Replacement Refs You should Kill Yourselfs
Man I’m not sure who has it rougher right now? Jay Cuter, Mitt Romney, or the replacement referees. I’m not a ref but I have played enough organized basketball and tons of football games to know refs have it rough. You enter that kitchen though and you must deal with the heat. These replacement [...]

Steelers Versus Raiders Game Rewind – Second Half Notes
Rookie Kelvin Beachum starts the second half with a false start. Ben Roethlisberger was off the mark trying to drop a deep ball into Mike Wallace and the Steelers are facing second and long. On third down Roethlisberger misses Antonio Brown on the right sideline that would have likely moved the chains. The Steelers quarterback was able to make a clutch throw to Wallace on third down...
Report: Roethlisberger & Haley Had First “Incident” In Season Opener
We apparently have already had our first in-game "incident" between Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and new offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
Ron Cook of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette reports Sunday morning that Roethlisberger and Haley had a disagreement during the Steelers opening Sunday night loss to the Denver Broncos, but that the quarterback says...
Raiders Cut Block On Steelers DE Ziggy Hood Was Legal
Several have emailed me asking me if the cut block performed by Oakland Raiders right tackle Willie Smith on Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Ziggy Hood late in the Sunday game was an illegal chop block. If you remember, I posted the differences between a legal cut block and an illegal chop block following the Steelers week 1 loss last year to the Baltimore Ravens and I am reposting...
Steelers Can’t Stop Raiders; Suffer Another Tough Loss in Oakland
Heading into Sunday’s game with the Raiders the Steelers hadn’t won in Oakland since 1995. Unfortunately that trend continued as the Steelers lost their second straight three point game in Oakland. Heading into the game Oakland had the second worst rated offense in the league, but watchi ContinueThe post Steelers Can’t Stop Raiders; Suffer Another Tough Loss in Oakland appeared...
The root of the Steelers loss to the Raiders
The final score was 31-34 in Oakland, which is a place the Pittsburgh Steelers generally play poorly. However, if the Steelers were going to lose in Oakland most would have expected an offense that couldn’t move the ball while giving up touchdowns on special teams and turnovers. While there were turnovers and special teams were leaky, that wasn’t why the Steelers lost the game...
Steelers Offensive & Defensive Snap Counts: Week 3 Raiders
Below are the week 3 official gamebook snap counts from the Pittsburgh Steelers 34-31 loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday. These counts also include penalty plays in addition.
Offensively not much sticks out participation wise as the Steelers ran quite a bit of 11 personnel in the game that utilized 3 wide receivers on the field. The snaps for both Leonard Pope and David Paulson...
Steelers at Raiders Gameday: TV coverage, radio, injuries, & weather
Week 3 has the Steelers traveling to Oakland to take on a storied rival from the 1970′s in the Raiders. All the faces may have changed since that time but based on recent history between these two teams, it’s always a scrappy affair. Other than the AFC North rivals that the Steelers face each season, the Raiders (and Cowboys) are next in line as teams that Pittsburgh fans love...

Despite an overall great day through the air for Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers offense, the vaunted Steeler Defense couldn’t...
