Colt McCoy was informed that he's "in the plans" of the next Cleveland Browns head coach. ESPNCleveland reported McCoy, who served as the backup quarterback behind rookie Brandon Weeden in 2012 after making 21 starts in his first two seasons, is considered the better fit for Chip Kelly's system and was told by CEO Joe Banner that he is "in the next head coach's plans." McCoy's arm strength limited him against NFL defenses and any incoming coaching staff will want to make its own assessments of McCoy and Weeden, a first-round pick in April. Weeden said with a smile early in the week that he wasn't sure he could run the zone-read offense Kelly preferred at Oregon. "That's not really my thing," he said with a smile. But as momentum made it clear Kelly was a top choice in Cleveland, Weeden let his fans and followers know via social media that he was joking about the Oregon offe...
