Report: Moss plans to make NFL comeback

Former star wide receiver Randy Moss announced his intention to return to the NFL during a live webchat on his 35th birthday Monday. "I just wanna go to a team and play some football," Moss announced via Ustream.tv, according to ProFootballTalk.com. "Faith, family, and football, that's my M.O., bro. Your boy be back for the upcoming season." The former Vikings and Patriots receiver last played with the Titans in 2010 before announcing his retirement in August last year after 13 seasons and 153 touchdowns. Moss said he had no regrets over the decision to walk away, claiming it took "guts" to call time on his career. But he signaled he was ready for a comeback after getting his house in order away from the field. "I had to really get out of the fast lane and really get a grasp on what was going on in my real life," he said, adding, "I'm okay. I'm okay. I'm happy to be in the position I'm in. I've been playing football since I was six-years old. I don't think y'all really realize that. The day I retired took a lot to call it quits, took a lot of guts." His announcement was made to an audience of little more than 500 people online, but Moss reportedly explained, "I didn't want to make no splash, that's why I left it on Moss TV." The news apparently even took his agent by surprise, with the webchat interrupted briefly as Moss fielded a call from his rep. Moss set an NFL record with 23 receiving touchdowns during the 2007 season, while also leading the league in touchdown receptions in 1998, 2000 and 2003 and 2009. In 2010, he made just 28 receptions for the Patriots, Vikings and Titans, and went unsigned as a free agent last summer.
