Norv Turner isn’t going out quietly after being fired by the San Diego Chargers. After a disappointing season for the Bolts, Turner is placing the blame not on a lack of coaching, but on a lack of talented players. According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, the former head coach thinks that the next guy in line is in for a bit of a rude awakening. Norv Turner believes whomever takes over Chargers will be surprised to find out Turner's staff got everything out of talent available— Ed Werder (@Edwerderespn) January 01, 2013 The comment could be seen as a parting shot directed towards the Chargers organization, or towards the man who put the team together: general manager A.J. Smith. Smith was also fired by the team on Monday after leading the team since 2005. Turner went 59-43 in his six years with the Chargers, including a 3-3 mark in the postseason. However, the Chargers failed to make the playoffs the last three seasons, losing more games each year since 2010. His career record as a head coach stands at 114-122-1.
