Milwaukee radio station WSSP is reporting that the Packers have signed halfback Ahman Green.Green, who played in 96 games for the Packers from 2000-06, worked out for team officials Monday. The Packers' desire to add a halfback to their roster suggests DeShawn Wynn’s knee injury is relatively serious and could keep him out for several more weeks if not longer. The Packers cut Green after the ’06 season as a salary-cap move, and he eventually signed with the Houston Texans. The 32-year-old played in 14 games for Houston the past two years, was cut this past offseason and hadn’t played since. A knee injury last season limited him to eight games and 294 yards on 74 carries.-- Pete Dougherty, pdougher@greenbaypressgazette.com
