Defensive end Patrick Kerney's football future was going to be a question this offseason. He is 33, and now has undergone pretty serious surgery after four successive seasons.Kerney held a retirement party, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com.Currently, Kerney still remains on the roster, and I haven't heard confirmation from him that he does intend to retire.There have been questions about his future, though. His contract calls for him to make $5.2 million next season, and while he led Seattle in sacks with five, only one of those came during the second half of the season.He underwent surgery on his elbow after the season, and team physician Ed Khalfayan found injuries severe enough he was surprised Kerney had been able to play through the season.In 2006 while with the Falcons, Kerney suffered a torn pectoral muscle that required surgery.
