Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports is reporting on Wednesday that the New England Patriots have signed Pittsburgh Steelers restricted free agent wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders to an offer sheet. The offer sheet is believed to be a one -year deal.
The Steelers, who currently have just under two million in available salary cap space plus the price of the tender at their disposal, now have five days to match the offer sheet signed by Sanders if they wish to retain him. If they don't, they will receive the Patriots third round draft pick as compensation for losing him.
