According to multiple reports, the New England Patriots worked out former Indianapolis Colts wide reciever Austin Collie on Tuesday. This doesn't come as a surprise as the team is still searching for competition  for the wide reciever position for training camp next month. Collie, who was a fourth round draft pick by the Colts in 2009 has had an up and down career when it comes to stay on the field. Last season, he played in only one game before suffering a right knee injury on September 25 that cost him the final 15 games of the season. In the past, Collie has been a productive number three reciever catching at least 50 passes and over 500 yards in three of his four NFL seasons. For his career, Collie has caught 173 passes for 1,845 yards and 16 touchdowns in 43 games played. He also is considered to be a good vertical threat across the field and could be a good addition if the Patriots feel he can stay healthy and contribute in 2013.
