EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Minnesota Vikings running back has hired high-profile attorney Rusty Hardin to represent him in his fight against charges of resisting arrest after a weekend incident in his offseason hometown of Houston, according to an ESPN tweet.
ESPN tweeted Monday that Peterson has hired Hardin, who recently earned an acquittal for Roger Clemens in his perjury case. Hardin is based in Houston.
Peterson, 27, was arrested at a Houston area night club early Saturday morning after police allege he shoved and off-duty officer working security at the club and had to be restrained by three officers before being handcuffed. He was booked into the jail before being released about eight hours later on a 1,000 bond.
Peterson's only public response came in a pair of tweets Sunday afternoon.
"Thank you for waiting for the facts. Truth will surface," Peterson wrote on his Twitter page (@AdrianPeterson).
Police spokesperson Kese Smith said that Peterson shoved an off-du...

Not surprisingly we have two vastly different versions of what happened between Adrian Peterson and the Houston Cops.

Adrian Peterson was heavily intoxicated at the time of his arrest, which was very out of character for...
Thanks to Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN in Minneapolis, we have a copy of Adrian Peterson’s mug shot. What a pretty mug shot it is.
I can’t tell if Peterson looks drunk, since I myself rarely drink and don’t get drunk. But he does look happy.

TMZ has released the video of Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson’s arrest.
Peterson was arrested early Saturday morning in Houston for resisting arrest. The details so far have been fishy at best.
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. High-profile attorney Rusty Hardin said the facts presented against Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson are a "total fabrication" in a released statement on Monday.Peterson, 27, hired Hardin to represent him following Peterson's weekend arrest and charges of resisting arrest following an incident at a Houston area nightclub early Saturday...
HOUSTON Adrian Peterson's reputation off the field apparently is as important to him as his on-field persona.
The hard-nosed Minnesota Vikings running back, who was charged with resisting arrest early Saturday morning at a Houston nightclub, has hired Houston-based attorney Rusty Hardin to represent him.
Hardin recently made headlines for his successful defense of major league...
Houston police anticipate a fine for Vikings running back Adrian Peterson stemming from his weekend arrest in Texas. A spokesman told NFL Network Peterson is very likely to be fined because he's facing a misdemeanor charge. Peterson, who hired Roger Clemens' attorney, Rusty Hardin, was arrested early Saturday at a Houston nightclub for resisting arrest. He spent the night...
Amy Senser, the wife of former Minnesota Vikings tight end Joe Senser, was sentenced to 41 months in prison for the hit-and-run death she was responsible for last August.
Her attorneys had sought probation while the normal sentencing crime goes anywhere from 41 to 57 months and the prosecution in Minneapolis was looking for the high end of the scale.
Blech.I've made a big stinker on here frequently about what the Minnesota Vikings uniforms should look like. As a classic NFL team from the 60's, with one of the all time great original uniforms that held plenty of stripes, simple logos, smart lines, and royal colors, I've been clamoring for the Vikings to more permanently move back to their throwback digs. You know,...
HOUSTON -- Adrian Peterson's reputation will not go quietly into the night.
The Minnesota Vikings running back, who was arrested and charged with resisting arrest early Saturday morning at a Houston night club, has hired Rusty Hardin for legal representation. You probably remember Hardin as the guy who successfully defended Roger Clemens in his perjury trial, and you probably...
We’ve seen the Adrian Peterson mugshot and arrest video. We’ve read the reports of how he was a “difficult customer” all night and how he shoved an off-duty officer. There’s also a report that Peterson has hired high profile attorney Rusty Hardin. Yes, the same Rusty Hardin that successfully defended Roger Clemens in his perjury case.
But despite all the reports and all...
Adrian Peterson’s mugshot has been released. Check out that smile on his face. Doesn’t look a guy who just got into a scuffle with police. Now, we have this mugshot to go along with the arrest video that released yesterday.
Also, it was reported that Peterson hired Rusty Hardin, who represented Roger Clemens, as his lawyer. Though, Peterson is only expected to receive a...
