Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Jason Babin may miss the entire preseason due to a right calf strain injury, a league source tells CSNPhilly’s Reuben Frank . Babin got hurt on Saturday during 1-on-1 drills. Per Frank,  Babin has suffered a Grade 2 muscle strain, meaning that a small tear exists in the muscle and that there is some bleeding.  According to the source, the injury is a tricky one for a defensive end, because it’s located on the inside of his calf, and the muscle that’s injured is the one that he uses to push off when the ball is snapped. Babin is coming off a monster season with the Birds, in 2011 making 18 sacks and earning a trip to the Pro Bowl. Since Babin’s injury occurred, Brandon Graham has had the chance to take his spot on the line with the first team defense and has had a great training camp so far. Philadelphia’s last preseason game occurs on August 30 at home against the Jets. The regular season begins on September 9 against the Browns in Cleveland. Want m...

Eagles' Babin out 2-3 weeks with muscle tear

Eagles left defensive end Jason Babin could miss most of training camp with a partially torn muscle in his left calf. An MRI exam revealed Babin has a second-degree strain, which occurred Saturday during a one-on-one pass-rushing drill against right tackle Todd Herremans. Philadelphia Eagles: Who’s Standing Out at Training Camp?

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid is running one of the toughest training camps in the NFL at Lehigh  University in Bethlehem, PA. He is working his team hard, with the hopes that this critical ground work will pay dividends in the 2012 season. With 90 men on the roster, it can be hard to single out just a few to highlight. Everyone is taking their play to the highest level...

The weather is hot and the days are long, but the sounds and smells of football are in the air. It’s time for training camp, and once again the Philadelphia Eagles meet at Lehigh University for their summer preparations for the fast approaching football season. There is not much to cheer about in Philadelphia these days. The Phillies stink, the Flyers have missed out on three of...

Crazy Day Off for Eagles... back to work Wednesday...

To be honest not really a day off, as teammates and coaches were in meetings all day... but a day off in the sense it gives guys 24 hours to assess their sore bodies and put together a plan to avoid unnecessary pain today...Too bad that notion does not apply to WR Ron Johnson, who was unceremoniously waived by the team with a relatively paltry injury settlement of $60,000 for the...

Eagles getting hammered with TC injuries to defensive line...

Kinda makes you wonder if Andy Reid's Training Camp format may need to be adjusted in the future... but... for now, the initial damage is still containable...  The Eagles head into Thursday with their entire starting defensive line sidelined by injuries, a potentially troublesome situation if some guys don't recover as expected. But with Jason Babin (calf strain), Cullen...

Fantasy Football: 2012 Running Back Tiers

Tier 1: The Elite 1. Arian Foster 2. LeSean McCoy 3. Ray Rice Who I want the most: LeSean McCoy. I love Arian Foster. I love Ray Rice. But like last year, I really love LeSean McCoy. And after these guys, well, let's just say the running backs are a crap-shoot. These are hands down the elite, the most proven, and the closest to a surefire running back you will get this...

DeSean Jackson Advises Mike Wallace To Not Hold Out

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has some advice for Pittsburgh Steelers restricted wide receiver Mike Wallace, who has yet to report and sign his $2.742 tender offer, "Holding out just doesn’t end up being worth it." Jackson should know as his 12-day holdout really went nowhere and he suggests others such as Wallace and Jacksonville Jaguars running...

2012 Top 9 Bold Fantasy Football Predictions

9. Michael Vick will finish in the top 5 ranked Quarterbacks. After a disappointing campaign last season, both team-wise and individually, Vick will bounce back stronger than ever. He finished outside the top 10 QB ranks via Yahoo last season. But with a boosted Eagles confidence, I predict Vick to finish right atop the biggest names in Fantasy with Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Tom...
