The Oakland Raiders have reportedly broken the bank to re-sign outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley.FOX Sports reported Monday the Raiders inked their franchise player to a five-year contract worth $48 million. According to the report, a whopping $29 million of that is guaranteed - though some of the money will be doled out through signing and option bonuses.Wimbley, 27, had been given the franchise tag by Oakland, a designation that would have landed him a one-year, $11.3-million contract. He wanted a longer-term contract, while the Raiders reportedly weren't keen on having that large single-season number on their cap.Wimbley was one of the top outside linebackers in football last season, recording nine sacks and a forced fumble while participating in all 16 games. He added 46 solo tackles. The Florida State alum was a first-round pick of Cleveland in 2003. He spent four seasons with the Browns before joining Oakland last season.
