The Ravens are moving toward a contract extension with quarterback Joe Flacco, and the deal could even be finalized at or before the start of training camp next week. NFL.com reported the two sides were closing in and estimated Flacco had a "75 percent chance" of signing his deal before the team reports to camp. Flacco was a first-round pick in 2008 and has won at least one playoff game in each of his four NFL seasons. The Ravens lost in the AFC Championship game last season. Lee Evans wasn't able to hold onto a pass in the end zone with 22 seconds remaining in a 23-20 loss to the Patriots and Billy Cundiff missed a potential game-tying field goal. Signing running back Ray Rice to a $40 million deal last week cleared significant cap space for Baltimore to define parameters of a deal with Flacco. He's in the final year of his rookie contract which paid him a total of $12 million. Yet Flacco maintained the contract wouldn't be an issue, expressing confi...

With Ray Rice Locked Up, is Ravens QB Joe Flacco Next?
The biggest story out of Ravens camp this offseason hasn’t been about Terrell Suggs’ injury, or Joe Flacco saying he thinks he’s the best quarterback in the league or even that Chuck Pagano bolted to coach the kids in Indy this year. Those were all key pieces to an odd offseason, but the Ray Rice dilemna was the biggest story during the break.
Would he or wouldn’t he was...
Haloti Ngata disagrees, ranked too high on NFL Top 100?
The headline to this item has featured many other names in the two years since NFL Network launched its space-filling countdown of the top 100 players in the league. But usually when a guy takes issue with his spot on (or not on) the totem pole, it’s because he’s too low. Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata thinks [...]

Ravens sign overrated Ray Rice to megadeal
Don’t get me wrong, Ray Rice is a a very good running back, but the Baltimore Ravens just dropped their shorts when they signed him yesterday. The terms of the deal? 5 years, $40 million and it calls to pay the running back $17 million this fall. You’ll probably going to point to the fact [...]
Ravens To Let FS Ed Reed Test Free Agency Next Year?
If negotiations with QB Joe Flacco work out, the Ravens front office will still have that nice little bargaining tool, the franchise tag, to use on another player and since newly signed running back Ray Rice wont need it either, the next logical person could be future Hall of Fame safety Ed Reed. But dont count on Reed getting tagged either, says Mortensen. Dont forget the...
Report: Ed Reed turned down a contract offer from the Ravens

According to Jason La Canfora of CBSSPorts.com, safety Ed Reed turned down a new contract offer from the Baltimore Ravens that would’ve paid him just under $8 million a year. The only problem with the offer is that it’s less than what Eric Weddle of the Chargers and Michael Huff of the Raiders currently make. As we all know, Reed is a better then both of...

Buy This Ray Lewis Autographed Chromed Out Chopper
With the football season coming up, what better way for a Ravens fan to support the purple and black than with this hog. This 2006 American Ironhorse “LSC” Lone Star Chopper was autographed by Ray Lewis himself. Obviously this is no where near as cool as Shaq’s tricked out van, but a customized Raven’s motorcycle signed by the murderer himself has to find a home somewhere...
