Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals.
The Carroll County Times reported that Lewis will miss "at least this game and possibly more" with a toe injury. He has not missed a game since 2007.
Lewis has not practiced this week and, according to the newspaper, traveled to South Florida to visit a toe specialist.
The 31-year-old Lewis remains one of the league's most feared defenders, compiling 68 tackles, two sacks and an interception in nine games this season.
The Ravens and Bengals are both 6-3, a half-game behind the division-leading Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3).
